Would like to get some more information on this. I was having problems with IE9 crashing on Windows 7. Opened Avast, went to Additional Protection, then Browser Protection tab, then clicked on uninstall for Internet Explorer. I am now having NO problems. So webrep is uninstalled and as I understand that also uninstalls phishing filter. What I am worried about is about a month ago my wife was on her AOL web based email and clicked on a link to a web site someone sent her, avast pop up shows up saying it blocked the web site and stopped a trojan, here is the Web Shield Report

So no problem since it was stopped. But since the trojan thing I have uninstalled the Webrep. Will removing Webrep and phishing filter have any effect on the Webshield stopping this if it happens again. I began to wonder since reading about how webrep and phishing filter work together, and phishing filter also works with email all this could effect Webshield or not? Just want to be sure I am not causing myself more problems by removing Browser Protection or if I should reinstall and remove only webrep and leaving phishing filter would be the better way to go. Anybody with some good advice please, Thanks sly
