Hey everyone… I just installed firefox and installed the webrep addon… and i put in where i put the black little box at in the screenshot (near the tabs bar) and well when i restarted firefox after installing a addon but webrep moved itself to in front of the title bar… is this firefox doing this or is it webrep?
It isn’t the webrep as that doesn’t really care where you put it (well I don’t believe so), yes it will have a default location where it is displayed now. But you should be able to drag it to another location in the Customise function in firefox.
Though I don’t know if firefox would allow you to place it in the same location as the tabs, but I have just done that and it allowed it (I also changed it to Tabs on top, which personally I don’t like) so we will see if it sticks on a firefox restart.
Update: It looks like firefox doesn’t let you do it when you have the Tabs on Top function as on restart, the avast webrep icon was in the default location. When I changed back to my normal tab location (not on top) the avast webrep icon was in the same row as the tabs. So it looks like firefox doesn’t like you doing it when the tabs are in the title bar.
Further update: It looks like firefox doesn’t let you position it in the tabs bar at all as on restarting with it in the new location, it was back to the default location left of the amazing/address bar.
So I dragged it back to its normal location alongside the WOT and Do Not Track icons.
I didn’t know that before cause i am like new to firefox. but anyways thanks for the help DavidR
