Webrep taskbar in IE9

Hello avast! people. Webrep is a very useful feature and I do like it, but… Fully compatible with W7? Now is it really? New IE9 interface is nice and clean. How one can take advantage of webrep and not be subjected to this ugly avast taskbar in a browser? Is there any way to see its working in the search results only? Thanks!

At this time: No

No, if you want webrep you have to have the toolbar on.

Ok, thanks, would be nice to see it sort out in the next version. I’ve seen that FF looks much better with this toolbar…

If you “unlock” the toolbars in IE, you can move the WebRep toolbar and make it appear a little less bloated.
Try for yourself.

Nope, Zyndstoff, it doesn’t work. No big deal, though. It’s not a big problem, but for certain makes avast! unpolished yet.

If you have the menu toolbar enabled, you can drag the WebRep Toolbar to it and minimize the size. That of course leaves the menubar visible, which you might not want.

Right, that’s what I’m saying, thanks anyway, mate!

BruBek,
sorry to disappoint you but at the moment Microsoft does not offer a way for BHO’s to integrate interactive buttons other than the toolbar we are using at the moment. We do realise that aesthetically speaking this solution is far from ideal but not being authors of IE there is really nothing we can do about it.

I never understood this weird behavior of IE.
Other BHOs, like LastPass, only can work with the toolbar. And you have difficulties to merge toolbars…
Long life Firefox
