Webshield doesn't work with custom firefox build

Hi, I’m using the custom Firefox build Palemoon.
Palemoon is a optimized build of Firefox for modern pc’s

However Avast doesn’t scan anything from Palemoon. The Shield traffic shows 0 pages scanned :frowning:
I Tried to rename the exe file to firefox.exe but that didn’t work.
Does anyone know how avast detects firefox, or how this will work with palemoon?

you can still get it to work just do that:
change the proxy settings in your browser to 127.0.0.1 on port 12080, and then add this line to webshield.ini:

OptinProcess=“your browser name”.exe
you must deactivate Avast self-defense module to be able to edit the file. Turn it on again when you’re done.

ps: webshield.ini is in C:\ProgramData\Alwil Software\Avast5 (Vista/Seven) or the same folder in documents and settings >>> all users >>> application data in XP
