Webshield wont turn on ALWAYS OFF

Recently purchased 3 PC 2 Year foR $59.99 Avast Pro

Everything is fine on the desktop and one of our laptops
However my brothers laptop today, avast was off so i updated some windows software n it worked (i think it was the RPC)

now the webshield wont turn on, its always off, any help? thanks!

Same for me. Updated to latest version, restarted, now it won’t turn on. Win7 64-bit.

Hello,

I was having the same problem but here is how I resolved it: you have to manually restart Avast! Services.

Here the steps:

  1. Go to Control Panel
  2. System and Security
  3. Administrative Tools
  4. Services
  5. Avast! Antivirus
  6. Restart
  7. Start
  8. Done!

This should manually restart all Avast services if this does not help sorry… I don’t know what else.

Hell of an introduction to a good outfit. I am a fan boy, been for a long time, however, bad update, I am strongly suggesting is happening. The first time I have ever seen such a thing out of them. Guessing Win 7? http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=108279.msg857450#msg857450 , should work just fine and too much work for you to even have to do…but I do think they are still the best, inspite of this and will get better ;D

thanks for that had ploblem with real time shields not turning on when click . as above worked for me :smiley:
