I woke up this morning and not feeling the best so I may not be thinking about it straight, but in my task bar I have a yellow warning triangle warning on my avast, when opening up the user interface, it said the webshield is not turned on. Usually not a big deal, but when I click on the button to turn it on, it does nothing.
My question is do I need to get this fixed or does the webshield not really help me out?
I have Avast 5.0.864 installed on my Compaq presario v5000t running windows xp media center edition.
Web shield is definatly needed as this is what is scanning your web traffic, try a repair through add remove program’s and if that doesn’t work your might have to do a clean install.
It is also wise to hide your email address through profile.
What version are you running? you can ask for license resend here http://www.avast.com/en-au/support or if your using free you only have to re register though gui.
