Website blocked notification but I didn't go to.

I’m getting a weird notification about web shield blocking access to a site. The notification says: avast web shield has blocked access to this page because the following cerificate is invalid: w3.awstls.com

This has been showing up randomly as I’m browsing amazon. I don’t know if it’s related or not. It’s not affecting anything as far as I can tell. Not really a problem, but maybe something to look into. I just tried to google the address but got a connection timed out page.

if only at amazon then there probably is some link to ad at a blacklisted URLs

if you want a check, start a topic in viruses and worms forum section
see instructions at top in that forum section Logs to assist in cleaning malware follow instructions and attach requested logs

See here and website owner should take isues up with SSL provider: There was an unknown error verifying the certificate: 7 (certificate signature failure)

One of the certificates is signed with a SHA1 signature.
We recommend that you reissue or replace this certificate with one that uses a SHA-2 signature.

I’m really not that worried about it. I just put it up here in case someone wanted to look into what was causing it. For added weirdness it seems to have stopped on its own. I’ve been back on my computer for a bit now and haven’t seen anything.

You may or should be OK then. My reaction in this thread was also meant just for the record
