I have the McAfee SiteAdvisor add-on for Firefox and when I open the site/forum that the OP mentioned it was flagged as red with further details saying “When we tested this site we found links to ourtoolbar.com, which we found to be a distributor of downloads some people consider adware, spyware or other potentially unwanted programs”. Yes, it is just using the same SMF format.

As Cromwell posted, too bad that forum is linked to bad sites.
