Weird conflict between Avast and CCleaner or something else?

Today when I started my computer I noticed both Avast and CCleaner starting up little slower than usual since neither of those programs’ notification icons didin’t show up in my Windows taskbar. But then I suddenly got “Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer?” notification window seemingly started by CCleaner. I picked “Yes” and then both CCleaner and Avast icons appeared. I found this rather offbeat since CCleaner usually starts normally by itself on the backround without giving any permission asking windows. I’ve done few test restarts on my PC and after observing task manager after desktop startup avastui.exe doesn’t seem to start running before aforementioned CCleaner permission window appears, though ccleaner64.exe and avastsvc.exe seem to start immiadetely. At one startup neither Avast or CCleaner didn’t seem to start before I logged out and back in to Windows (where after they both started normally again.)

This started just today and I haven’t made changes in Avast or especially CCleaner at least in latest few days. Could anyone help me with this?

Also, could anyone explain what avastui.exe and avast.svc.exe are seperately?

What OS/SP ?
What exact version of avast ?
What exact version of CCleaner ?
Any other security (related) software installed ? (or was there)
What else is loading at boot-time ?

I don’t have the answer for your problem but would suggest disabling CCleaner from starting automatically with Windows, I’ve always thought it to be a rather pointless procedure having CCleaner start automatically when the system boots and run it’s cleaning functions when they would be much better done before shutting down the system for the evening, another process that doesn’t need to run at boot imo.

avastui.exe is for the user interface - avast.svc.exe is the main Avast service

to Eddy:

Windows 7 64-bit
Avast version 11.1.2245
CCleaner version v.5.12.5431 (64-bit)
Only other security program I use is Malwarebytes
Only noteforthy program(s) I can think of is Dropbox and some ASUS & Nvidia processes/programs.

to CraigB:
Yeah, I’ve tried disabling CCleaner automatic startup before, but when I triend it trough Windows’ controlling of startup programs (I don’t remember the function’s name anymore…) but CCleaner didin’t appear in the list of selectable programs. another thing is that CCleaner’s setup show “Run CCleaner when computer starts” disabled. But I’ve let it be for now since it hasn’t caused any issues before.

CCleaners system and active monitoring needs to be disabled as well.

Reboot after disabling CCleaner monitoring would seem to have fixed the problem as CCleaner no longer automatically opens and avastui.exe starts up normally. Thank you for help! ;D
