Weird Conflict

Previously i have used kaspersky antivirus and have uninstalled it completely n installed avast home ediition. after restart, avast display a message saying kaspersky antivirus is running ??? and some of avast component like standard shield has been disabled. I have check thru my pc n found no kaspersky program running. i have cleared all registry file n folder left out from kaspersky uninstallation.

2nd restart also getting same message. Please help.

There is probably still some bumf in your registry, go to kaspersky and download their uninstall tool. Uninstall - reinstall avast and see how that goes

Do a forum search this has been discussed previously, do you use any other kaspersky tools?
