I was on livejournal.com and while visiting one of the websites I got this weird ad redirct.
hxxp://sponsor.adverstitial.com/view/advertisement?loc=79630&adv=2249564&camp=538642&w=300&h=250&rnd=8898730673076168367
This was the website it redirected me too. It said thirty seconds to see the full content but I clicked out right away. A google search has brought up nothing. What is this site? Should I scan my computer?
Sorry for the silly question but I want to make sure my computer is okay!

Hm, okay! Thanks for checking!
Time for an ad- and flash blocker I think: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13223684920A10189100&page=11
That is why a lot of users use NoScript, RequestPolicy and AddBlockPlus extensions in a browser like firefox to never go there.
You could also use GoogleChrome with Pop-up blocker, SafeScript and ABP extensions to never encounter these “goodies”.

Just got adblocker plus and scriptsafe for chrome! The scriptsafe is a bit confusing but thanks for the suggestion!
Hi Mishax,
ScriptSafe is very easy to handle. Just click whenever you know the site to be safe,
else leave it red when you do not fully trust it or go out there for the first time.
You will feel loads more secure with this extension in the browser!
The best extension ever to come to Google Chrome anyway,
Stay safe and secure online is the wish of,
