I just did a Boot Scan of my main machine which has several TB’s of drive space and about 85% into the scan, started getting the “OXC 0000017 Not Enough Quota” error at the end of each scanned section once the scan got down to the “G” drive where there are large media files stored.
In the log, the status says, “Error: Not enough storage is available to process this command (8)”.
I’m wondering if Avast uses the Page File to store the scan or if the scan is happening in the RAM and the large media files have filled the Pagefile or Ram up?
Please post the files
c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\AVAST Software\Avast\log\aswBoot.log
and
c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\AVAST Software\Avast\report\aswBoot.txt
If on Vista and higher, they are located in
c:\ProgramData\AVAST Software\Avast\log
c:\ProgramData\AVAST Software\Avast\report
Did you get the message really just during the scan, or rather during an action on in infected file?
The second message must have been an action - it means it’s impossible to remove the particular file from an archive (such as a solid RAR archive, for example).
