What are these files?

Avast can never scan them but they appear, even after full restores they exist. I want to know what they are.

How do I handle files that avast! can’t scan? https://blog.avast.com/2014/02/28/how-do-i-handle-files-that-avast-cant-scan/

open up the column so we can see the full file path

I am trying but I have only been able to rest my cursor on the files and view the “full path” but it has to be done separately as seen in this picture

On The grey bar at top there should be some vertical bars, if you put your mouse pointer on it, hold mouse button and drag sideways

If not are you able to copy and paste a few?

I’m 99% sure you’re System is Dell. I wouldn’t worry about it. Almost definitely all from the same path, and likely related to Dell OEM stuff.

You are correct, It is a Dell Inspiron 17-- Thank you! I just felt odd because Avast couldnt confirm anything about the files.

Neither believe it or not, quite frustrating the way Avast’s detail reports work.

Anyway nothing to worry about, it is normal to have some files that cant be scanned
Happens to all security programs but it is not all that show it in the log

Those files will be scanned in real time when whatever use them access/unpack/read those files

Can you explain that last sentence?

avast realtime protection scan evrything that happens in your computer in real time

saving a file, moving a file, opening a folder, starting a program, unpacking a archive … evrything

Oh!! I understand, that is great I didnt know.
