AnyDesk is a remote desktop application. Weird to see it with the Avast icon. It must be an additional component you have installed, because I don’t have the executable on my system.
I also wouldn’t want any remote access software on my machine (and have disabled the built in Windows tool too). Any zero day bug, and it’s a perfect attack vector into your PC.
AnyDesk, a hackers number 1 tool. certainly weird as mentioned that its showing the avast icon.
Firstly have you ever installed and used anydesk before for remote work on your pc.
If not get rid of it as it should not be there.
Look, I always use it for remote access with my clients.
I want to make an observation: this screenshot I took showed the icon, but now it’s not.
I’m thinking it’s a bug because it hasn’t shown up anymore. Even in the last three days, AnyDesk has shown the correct icon.
I’m thinking it must be something with Windows’ own management.
I’m posting here because if anyone else has experienced this, they can share their experience, or the Avast team can look into it.
So you have AnyDesk installed and use it, but didn’t mention that before asking us what the process is?
You made it seem it was an unknown program to you, and wanted to know if it was part of Avast.
Maybe be clearer next time and mention relevant information like that!
If it was about the icon, then SAY SO!!
Seriously wtf.
That’s why this is a forum for people to ask questions and talk about problems. If it were possible, I would call you to explain, but since that’s not possible, the way is to talk and comment until we reach a final verdict. =]
Not entirely, information is the greatest help to those trying to help.
The question has to be clear or people will start going down the wrong path, wasting time for all parties.
Had you said that, then the only issue is why ‘it’ has an Avast icon. But that has now resolved itself for whatever reason.
