What BHO list do you use?

Hi forum folks,

BHO’s, browser helper objects, can be good and can be bad.
They can be looked up from BHO lists, like this good one:
http://www.colba.net/~hlebo49/bho_a_d.htm

I am curious what list you use?

polonus

The ones included into the antispyware and antitrojan applications. The ones marked as good are good, the other, the bad guys ;D

This one is my favorite:
http://castlecops.com/CLSID.html

It’s done by the CLSID, so for a line like this:

O2 - BHO: Yahoo! Toolbar Helper - {02478D38-C3F9-4EFB-9B51-7695ECA05670} - C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Companion\Installs\cpn\yt.dll

You would copy and paste this:

02478D38-C3F9-4EFB-9B51-7695ECA05670

into the search bar and hit the “Search” button. (Notice it is done without the brackets.)

I bookmarked both of those for future use … thanks!
