What exactly am I paying for in Avast! Pro and IS?

Hi,
I currently use Avast! 5 Free.

However, I want to query what I am I exactly paying for if I decide to buy Pro or IS versions.

I know that Pro and IS have extra features, but I want to know if all I am paying for is “faster updates”.

I’m not bashing Avast or anything.

But a yearly subscription is mainly for the “faster vddb updates” right?

It is a darn site more than just faster virus database updates.
