This from a neat little add-on for firefox, gTranslate, just select some text, right click select Translate, it automatically figures out what the language is, once it has done that click it and you have a new tab with the translation.
Yes, there are webpages translations since quite some time ago…
Yes there are, but you don’t have to copy and paste the text, go to one of the translation site, paste the text and decide what the language is and what translated language you want. Everything is done from the page by selecting the text and right clicking.
so why it’s the 1st time I open the Arabic page? ???
How to set the site’s default language to be English? ???
Hi Mina!
It’s possible, by choose the English, on the bottom side of a site, I Think
There is a drop down list at the Top Left of the page, you can select the language you want, see image. alternatively you could drop the _arb of the end of the URL so it reads index.html and that will give the default English pages.
For me it’s on the top right
What on that same page of the link given by Minacross, the page isn’t dynamically created so, the page content and locations should be the same for all viewing that page. My image is of that page viewed using Firefox.
Top Left on the Ar. page
Top right on the Eng. page
;D ;D

Thanks, I’ve used to use Translator (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3361).
I use Translator also if I want to translate complete pages but the gTranslate allows for translating short areas of text, like the content of a post on the fly so to speak.

Thanks David, I’ll give it a try…
