What happens if one update is missed ?

One question to understand something more about the way AVS (= a great program !) is working.
To make it clear, here is an easy example:

  • let`s assume that there had been made an update of the virus definitions
  • let`s say according to update version 06.08.1
  • lets imagine that within the next 4 days new updates are released, i.e. 06.08.2, 06.08.3, 06.08.4 and 06.08.5 my question: what happens if I dont update within the coming next 4 days ?
    This means, what happens, if I don`t update the actualizations 06.08.2, 06.08.3, 06.08.4 and 06.08.5 but only - after 5 days to keep the example - the update 06.08.6 ?
    In this case, does the update 06.08.06 ONLY include its specific definitions ?
    Or is it not limited and the former updates ( 06.08.2, 06.08.3, 06.08.4 and 06.08.5) are also included ?

Don’t worry, you won’t miss anything. avast! knows exactly what has been released in between and downloads everything new during the update.
