Does anybody here happen to know of a good e-mail client that can do IMAP?
Ritlabs The Bat! https://www.ritlabs.com/en/products/thebat/features.php
Mozilla Thunderbird: https://www.mozilla.org/thunderbird/
I found one, but i am wondering any of you used it before? Its windows live mail.
live mail is not a client but web-based.
It is a client… the one from windows live essentials 2012 http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-live/windows-essentials-help#v1h=tab4
I thought all of that Windows Live {insert product name} was Dead.
Windows Live Mail 16.4.3528 >> http://filehippo.com/download_windows_live_mail/
Microsoft mailclients may be a bit confusing as some of them used same name as the webmail
Anyway i also like opera client best, but better imo is webmail
Nothing I would use, but it’s your choice anyway.
I’ve used Pegasus Mail by David Harris since 1994. http://www.pmail.com/
Welcome to the home of Pegasus Mail, the Internet's longest-serving PC e-mail system, and of the Mercury Mail Transport System, our full-featured Internet Mail Server.Pegasus Mail is a free product, dedicated to serving all who need it, whilst Mercury is a modestly-priced commercial system that allows free use for private and non-profit users.
I purchased a lifetime license for Mailbird Pro. It’s half off right now. There is also a free version.
Pro has:
- Pay one time up-front to get all the customization and action-packed email productivity tools in one platform.
- Unlimited Multi Accounts
- Attachment quick preview
- Email speed reader
- Snooze email
- Unified Inbox Plus
- Advanced Touch Support for Windows 10
- Access to future updates
A comparison chart of the various email clients which may be of help can be seen at the Wikipedia article via the link below:

Nothing wrong with it if you want to use an email client.
It’s a hybrid between Outlook Express and Outlook.
I’ve found online email through Gmail to be much better and, the spam function in Gmail is excellent.
+1 Bob. I find e-mail clients to be more trouble than they are worth. when already on line only takes few seconds to check e-mail. been using gmail for about 6 months, and have yet to see even 1 pc. of spam.

I unfortunately need to look at the Spam folder because I quite often get emails from folks that attended one of my presentations.
Since they aren’t in my contact list, they quite often wind up in the Spam folder.
When you look at that Spam folder you can really see how good a job Google does in filtering many items that the average computer user
might be tempted to act upon and get themselves into trouble.
