I am getting a notification that 1 file on my machine (dc44.com) in the Recycle Bin is infected and it is listing it as EraseHDD-G[Trj]
I can’t find any info on this anywhere - what is it?

Test that file here: http://www.kaspersky.com/remoteviruschk.html
It seems to be a variant of Magistr. , but could be also a false alarm.

OK, turns out that fix_magistr_b.com is also triggering an alert - and it says that that file is infected with EraseHDD-G[Trj]
I had this repair utility on a network drive from an infection almost a year ago. Why is Avast reporting this tool as a virus?
I downloaded the fix_magistr_b.com again from McAfee and it is still triggering an alert.
You could send the file to virus@asw.cz and let see what they say.
