What is fssfltr_tdi.sys

For some reason I had to manually update the latest version and it had be reboot to complete it. When I did it went to a blue screen and claims that the fssfltr_tdi.sys driver uploaded without cancelling pending operations. I haven’t had any other software put on my computer so this is the only thing I can figure is that it has to do with this update. Is anyone else having problems with it and if not then please tell me what this is and how I can correct it. Otherwise…I can’t upload the newest version. My version is the 8.0.1497. >:( >:( >:(

one of my clients had the exact same issue today, after updating “avast internet security” on a Windows XP machine. The computer would not load Windows (BSOD), until we reverted to prior the update using system restore.

Please notify us when you guys have corrected this issue and a new update is available.

I don’t know if I should create a new thread to have the issue look at, as this one title’s is asking what is “is fssfltr_tdi.sys”, which we all could read that is a Windows’ file.

What I would like to know is how to apply the latest Avast update avoiding blue screening the system with it?
How do we get the memo to the Avast update that this is a system file that it should avoid conflict with?

I have the same issue. I got the blue screen when installing the latest Avast pro, had to uninstall and reverted to the free avast. Has anyone solved this problem yet?

The general concensus is that if you do not use family safety then uninstall it

What do you mean by family safety? I have not heard of this before?
