We use FortiNet routers (FortiGuard 310B, 60B, and 400B) in our site. We also use Avast Pro on our corp. desktops and recommend Avast Home for our home users. I have set up an IPsec SSL VPN for remote user access on the routers. The FortiGuard units do a verification of the incoming computer to ensure that, among other things, an up to date antivirus program is installed.
They come with default settings for most AV software but Avast is not on the list. I can create a custom entry so that it can check for the program but need to know the GUID of the program for it to use. I have Pro installed on my machine so tried searching my registry but there are a number of different ones that show up and I’m not sure which one is the one i should be using. This is the first one it shows:
HKCR/Shellex/ContextMenuHandler/Avast = 472083B0-C522-11CF-8763-00608CC02F24
Anyone know what GUID I should be using on the FortiGuards to check for an Avast installation? I want to be able to check for both the Pro version as well as the Home version.
Thanks
