What is The Default Setting in 5 For When A Virus is Found?

Is it “Move to Chest?” Or a prompt for a Boot Time Scan? Is everyone getting Boot Time Scan freezes after running a Boot Time Scan in version 5? I have only used Boot Time Scan in version 4.

Hi Jack,

I am not sure what does you mean with this thread.

But you possible to configure as you will if your computer got notification by avast for virus or malware detected.

You may go to avast 5.0 GUI : Real Time Shield - choose one of them, let e.g File System Shield - Click Expert Setting - choose Action

At that time you may able to configure what does you need from first action, 2nd till 3rd actions.

Then boot time scan is part of avast scanning features, you may schedule to do boot time scan as you need for.
