What is the difference between free and paid for Avast

Hi there,

I know this seems like an odd question but a lot has happened to me in this last year and we do have more than one computer in the house, however I was convinced that I had purchased Avast so my question is how do I tell which I have as I am experiencing an issue at the moment with Avast.

It tells me that a threat is detected but there is nothing in the log report and I cannot click on the box to see what to do next.
