What is the purpose of Logging.log

What is the purpose of the file Logging.log in the free version of Avast 5, and what do the error messages that it logs with every bootup as per the one below indicate.

“24/02/2010 3:01:26 PM Opening Fw.db failed: 110” contained in it mean".

If it simply is recording that it can’t find a file that relates to the firewall module that is not in the free version, then why is it even looking for it?

You are right, this false error entry will stop being logged.
