what open new tab in my browser?

Hi,
when I digit an address in the address bar of Firefox a new tab is automatically opened with advertising or site related to the one I typed. For example, if I digit the address of a telephone company it is opened a new tab about another concurrent telephone company. This happens also for other stuff not only for telephone companies.

I run all tool suggested by this forum but it does not resolve my problem.

Can somebody help me?

Is this just in firefox ?

Hi,
I normally use Firefox, I do not know if the problem is present also on the other browseres installed on my pc.

The problemis still present.

In attach the result of OTL

Hi, I normally use Firefox, I do not know if the problem is present also on the other browseres installed on my pc.
Why not check it? It will tell if the problem is only in FF or not. If it is, it is most likely caused by a add-on/plugin you have installed in FF. And if that is the case, just remove it.

Could you try the other browsers as I need to know if it is systemwide or restricted

Hi,
I made a simple test with internet explorer and chrome typing some addresses, in firefox immediately new tab is open, in the other browsers even after 4/5 addresses typed nothing happened.

I run OTL and JRT and logs are in attach-

Now the problem looks gone away

OK so it is firefox related, coudl you run Firefox in the safe mode and see if it still occurs http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode

AAAARGH!
restarted firefox in safe mode, I typed the followng address:

(telco)
www.fastweb.it

the following tab automatically opened:

http://www.adxhosting.net/MB/Vodafone.html

with the advertising of a concurrent telco.

I tryied again with internet explorer and chrome but behaviour is normal.

Can you help me again?

OK that proves that the corruption is within the main Firefox files

You will need to fully uninstall Firefox and then re-install
