What should I do with this? Win32:Adloader-AC [Trj]

I’m a bit confused b/c a lot of chatter about this suggest a false positive.

I have no idea.

thx

running Windows 7 Pr0 64

may be you make the system take a full system memory dumb instead of 64 kb dumb"i did that some time and got a file in the size of 1GB in my test pc"
so go control panel->system->advanced setteings->system start and restore"it is my translate"->settings->then the thid section"writing correction information and make it 64 kb"
then go to c:\windows and delete memory.dmp for ever, may be you have running a virus in a day and your system crash and the system take a copy of the memory,so avast detect a virus in that file

  • The memory.dmp file is created when your system crashes it contains what is in memory at the time of the crash, which could have contained malware. It could be as large as your memory so may not be allowed to send to the chest without changing the settings.

If you have the tools and experience you can examine this file to help discover why the crash happened, if you don’t have this experience and tools, it is worthless to you. The older the file is the less worth it is also.

If windows were to crash again then it would create a new memory.dmp file if one wasn’t present or replace any existing one. So there really is no downside to deleting this memory.dmp file.

As far as the size issue goes it relates to the maximum file size to send to the chest restriction rather than insufficient space on the HDD. This can be adjusted using the avast Program Settings (right click the avast tray ‘a’ icon) Chest; there you can adjust the maximum file size or chest size to cater for any file to be sent. However in this case, the best solution is simply to allow avast to delete it.

Yes. My system did crash a couple of days ago while doing some OC’ing. I will delete it.

Thx

No problem, welcome to the forums.

I wish i can talk like you DavidR you say the same thing but he understand you and me not.is there a course to learn a very good english?
God Bless You

I’m a somewhat of an advantage, since it is my native language and not a second language. I have also been using avast for a long time and have refined my information posted in the forums over time.

I admire anyone, who not only speaks another language, but is able to write it, which I’m told is even harder. I used to be able to speak a little German but couldn’t write it at all, so if needs be I fall back on the various translation services…

I don’t know of any distance learning/internet courses, but for sure the more you use it in the forums the more it will improve.

Your english is not bad. You just lack some punctuations and transitions to separate and control the flow of ideas.
