I did some further research and realized that a file on my server was causing this issue. “test.html”. Funny thing is, i put that up for a few hours to test out en exploit on my windows development system. I tested it on 2 different computers running avast and avast blocked it, finding the exploit. I though, wow good job avast!
I then deleted the file, and after a few days of not accessing my website I had to check into my SVN that hosts source code for some major developers across the world. You can guess the rest.
I recommend AVAST to everybody I know, I’m a computer IT specialist. I work with Viruses on people’s computers all day. Guess what happened when all of my clients checked in on their accounts? I got hundreds of phone calls from people threatening to sue me because my website was “Malicious”.
If you could PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD get me OFF that list, It would be GREATLY APPRECIATED.
You could possibly be. (See my reply to your other query.)
Get the latest Avast 4.8, uninstall Avast 5 (you may need help with that) and when/if you get Avast 4.8 up and running, run a full scan.
I strongly recommend you do not use Beta software. This software is released for testing purposes.
We have found live exploit in your website (in the file test.html which currently doesnt exist). Please check security of your server as it might be hacked! I’m removing the block, but if we will found new exploitation on your website - we will block it again!
Regards
PS: I see you were testing your security with test.html - that is the reason we were starting to block your website. The block will be removed in new vps update.
