I ran a scan with avast. It found some threats. After finding threats and me wanting to get rid of them, it goes to a black screen and gives you the options of delete, delete all, move to chest, repair ignore, etc. I have no idea what to do here. I think I did move to chest and it asked to scan files. After a couple of hours, I stopped it.
Is this the right way to run avast??? Can someone tell me what the easy way to run it would be. I just want to scan and delete infected files. Thanks.
To scan your computer open the interface and go to Antivirus on the left.
Click on Scan now. And click on more details on Full scan and check Scan for PUPs there.
Then click scan and wait until it is finished.
When threats are found a results window pops up, just choose quarantine there on the bottom right and click apply.
When the Window is hanging up just wait until it responds again, i have encountered the same problem sometimes.
Avast just asked to do a Boot-Time-Scan cause it has found threats on your computer.
This is just to make sure that there is nothing left over.
In the Boot-Time-Scan just choose quarantine all if a threat is found.
