what to do with trojan in chest

avast just found a trojan on my memory stick called autorun.exe.
i put it in the virus chest and re-scanned the memory stick which is now clear…
so what do i do with the trojan in the virus chest??
please advise

Keep it there. Chest is safe and allow further analysis. But I’m quite sure autorun.exe seems to be a trojan.
It will be good if you fully scan your computer with avast too.

i scanned my pc recently (about 2 weeks ago) and there were no problems. i think i got this trojan off my friends pc because i was giving/recieving files from his computer using my memory stick and it was only after this that avast picked it up.
will avast do anything to the trojan and will i eventually have to delete it?

Into Chest? No. It will be kept there, inert, until you delete it manually.

You can do it whenever you want. It’s good to keep it there (due to false positives) about 2 weeks.

By the way, after the 2 week period, you can right click this file in the chest and select scan. If it is still detected as a trojan, you can delete it.
