I’ve heard that utorrent is a good P2P client, but causes issues with Avast’s web shield.
Is this problem still present, and if so, what would be a better choice?
Depends on what you want.
Vuze, for something a little more fancy (and resource hungry), maybe Bit Torrent for something simpler/lighter.
Utorrent works fine for me with avast but then im only using it to download Books for the Ereader.
Is the P2P shield set to scan it? Because its off by default.
I heard the reliable happy donkey runs smoothly with Avast - provided you like the reliable happy donkey…
Yes utorrent is unticked ( i forgot about that ;D ), once iv completed a download then i right click scan with avast and MBAM.
I use Utorrent all the time with Avast and it doesn’t cause any problems with the web shield.
