thought i would ask this here…
i have the free version of avast as my AV software and besides it i have Comodo Firewall, the paid version of MBAM, and Immunet…
i was wondering if i was to install threatfire (which is an active antimalware like the paid version of MBAM), it would have conflicts with MBAM?
i know its probably a stupid qn, and im not installing threatfire just thought i would ask since i wasnt sure about this 
I would advise you not to install threatfire because the development has slowed down a big deal.
The current setup seems sufficient

PS. Don’t used Spybot on Window 7 I’ve been told they crash a lot, I only used it to Immunize my firefox browser only for XP and it very good which has more protection then SpywareBlaster.
I disagree with SpeedyPC
As SpywareBlaster provides good protection for both IE and Firefox plus other browsers.
I agree though that Spybot S&D is old technology and MBAM is much better.
thanks for the replies, yeah i have spybot s&d on here but i really only use it for the passive protection (never had any crashing problems on windows 7 with that tho)…

i think they both have decent passive protection for browsers
and its always good to keep a good supply of non-active scanners in case you ever suspect a malware infection (and i know of a few online scanners also incase i ever need to use them)
well at least i know my active real-time protection is sufficient

They are going to resurrect for sure.
They said they are going to release a beta in 2009 November if my memory is correct.
Now we are going to reach 2011, and yet they haven’t released a beta.
Yet, they are sticking to release version 2.
Let’s wait to see which kind of protection they will release… They need to improve the detection rate for sure.
