What's an Example of an Actual Virus?

It seems like all infections are trojans, spyware, adware, backdoors, rootkits, etc. I have never seen anything actually labeled a virus, except for what AVG found on my computer before it was ruined. Can you give an example of a virus?

I love wikipedia too. A virus is not much different from trojan but the only major difference is that a virus replicates itself.

EG:win32:vitro
One day When I was surfing the net a sample of Vitro entered my PC and avast detected it and I chose no action because it was in a vital file of my NFS Underground after some time, I turned off my PC and when I restarted, my PC had 542 samples of Vitro in different drives , maximum being in F.

Thats what u call a virus. Their number is very less as compared to Trojans because they are very difficult to be programmed.
Only an expert hand can do that.
