So , today I’ve been surfing the web when I saw an ad from a trustworthy site. I clicked on it because i saw some nice discounts.
When I clicked on it, my avast blocked an ip adress. It said that it was malware. It was in Chrome’s folder. After this I entered the site by accessing it from google. No alert then.
The alert popped up again when I wasn’t on the internet basically it suddenly popped up.
What can I do?
After I did a lot of scans with several programs, the internet disconnected. When i was trying to acces a site, there was a dns error.
I restarted the router and the pc and then everything went back to normal.
Thanks
Know that Google Chrome has been compromised. Recently Chrome had to ban specific malvertising extensions that try to install BHO via the development channel, now extensions can only be installed via the official Google channels period.
The situation was bad to such an extent that certain silent BHO installs made it necessary to reset the browser, sometimes this was hindered because the updater had also become compromised and did not function anymore to keep the malcode on - so a complete uninstall and complete new re-install routine of the browser was a last option.
I do not have these problems because I block any third party (bad) influence via uMatrix and have uBlockOrigin installed, also have ScriptSafe.
Google Chrome has become a browser where you can no longer surf “in the nude” so the say, the protection should be tight and…Google Chrome needs to cleanse shop, their unrestricted ad-serving became their biggest drawback because cybercrime piggybacks grand time. You just have to look at all cleansing routines you see here performed by our great qualified removal experts to conclude that what I am telling is the truth, the full truth and nothing but the truth.
