PC Tools has a new product called “Security for Netbooks”.

Ingenious idea of theirs to try to ride the wave of popularity of these little machines… but my “spies” tell me that the product is just their useful-but-clunky AV with an expanded database to include spyware.

Now as it happens I already have another security program which incorporates all the features (and more) of the PC Tools offering, is much more stable and has a low impact on resources and so is ideally suited to Netbooks.

It’s called avast! 4.8 :wink:

And it's FREE ;) PC Tools Security for Netbooks 2009 Single Computer $19.95 And I wonder if that is the only processors on notebooks it works on-if so-very limited Works only on Netbooks processors – Intel Atom, Intel Celeron-M, VIA C7-M

You’re kidding! It’s AUD39.95 here.??? By my reckoning that’s USD10.00 more than can be accounted for by the exchange rate.
I know things are tough over there - are US customers getting a special GFC discount. ::slight_smile:
