I have spotted this .exe after having a Blue screen and I thought the name was kinda fishy. I searched around the web, and I saw a bunch of websites that claim it is aggressive spyware and worse.
Is this .exe a regular part of avast/AVG? I had AVG at the time, now changed to avast but its still there. I am aware that avast and AVG has joined forces. Also please carefully read the name of the .exe, maybe it is similar to a part of avast/AVG, but is actually malware.
Alright guys, good to hear. Nowadays you cant rely on google anymore it seems. These sites indeed had links for spyhunter, but I dont download just everything.
The creators of Spy Hunter have totally painted Internet with spy hunter ads, it almost does not matter what you search about and you will always find at least one search result with spyhunter, the program that can solve any problem ???
Well yeah, you can trust it in most of the cases. But, as an additional example, over here in germany, when you search for vlc media player in google, the first hit is a website that modified the download to install spyware with it, the original creators website is like third or fourth hit. Stuff like this just makes you depressed.
Mate, im aware of that. I even stated it above. I was only bringing it up as an example how google can be very misleading. Thanks for the tip with the program tho.
