I see this in my router log every once in a while, connection to
ap.ff.avast.com:80
:eighty included in the url
what is this? Is it like a site checker thing for the webshield?
Does it block outbound stuff? If so what?
It just just the port being used for the connection (port 80 = http port).
I don’t know the why it connecting though, I’m not that familiar with the avast mobile security functionality yet.

I had a problem, actually still have it, and just needed to rule out Avast. And it is ruled out.
What problem is that?

Just an issue of some attachment to outgoing mail not making it through.
But it’s definitely not related to avast. The receiving server rejects the file. So it clearly gets out
