They will keep stacking. I had to uninstall avast 8 and I’m not going to reinstall until that is fixed. If those get stacked up too much, you will start having multiple website issues and it may even sever your wireless network connection entirely. The old method to fix was to disable the self defense module in settings-troubleshooting but even that doesn’t get rid of them with a reboot. You may try to uninstall it manually as with an uninstall they still don’t go away without manually uninstalling them and the driver.
I am still waiting on the same issue to get fixed. I couldn’t even go to my online college websites because of those NDIS issues.
It was late last night and I didn’t want to tackle this before a good nite sleep. So at the moment I have uninstalled Avast Internet Security 8, removed the NDIS driver, rebooted, and am now reinstalling the security suite fresh; not as an upgrade. I’ll report back if this resolves the issues.
** UPDATE ** Reinstall fixed it. Looks like the NDIS Firewall Filter driver is not installed as part of Avast 8. Avast 8 seems to be working fine and the driver is not there. I guess the upgrade from 7 to 8 does not correctly remove the driver.
Yeah you have to do it manually… Wish I’d figured it out sooner… Uninstalled the faulty driver and reinstalled Avast and it was all good… it was installed as a part of a previous version I guess…
