what's up with the script shield ?

… I was gonna say hurrah … it’s scanning again … but well until I saw that it was just local traffic in Chrome between my phone and my laptop … this said it just doesn’t scan anything 99% of the time, so again @avast, any clue? thanks.

It seems to be working fine here with all 3 machines. In fact it shows more activity than any of the other shields.

While I don’t really care about the script shield…
Just for the record: 0/0 (since the RC)

Really? Mine shows more than twice as much activity as the FSS does. Well over 1000 when FSS is only between 350 and 400. I just booted up a few minutes ago and it now shows 29 for the script shield vs 253 for FSS. That will change though with the more sites I visit and the script shield will soon pass the FSS in activity.

Yes.

my’s 3000 plus and counting as i surf on google chrome

actually good news - more or less - more than 900 items scanned by the script shield this morning, but just because I used IE9 ;D … still nothing in Chrome.

Which Chrome version do you use?

beta 18.0

Hi,

that’s actually the problem. The script shield doesn’t work with the latest beta and nightly builds. Try the latest stable version and it should start working.

Guess, you’re talking about WebRep, never heard that about ScriptShield…

nope  I’m not gonna switch back to the stable version just because of the script shield … also, I wouldn’t mind Avast to tell us what’s wrong with non-stable versions of Chrome, ie why isn’t the script shield compatible with dev and beta builds ??? (if the issue is really this)

good reminder Asyn, true that indeed the script shield has never been mentioned, but web rep was

Hi,

please test to verify.

Well, the problem is logos doesn’t want to and I don’t use Chrome.

no way ;D

My script shield is always actively scanning ever since 6.0.1289[wasnt scanning anything until 1289 came out]…

for today so far 8893 total scripts have been scanned :o

Hi,

in that case I can’t be of any help, sorry

macht nichts
