when i try to login with my correct user name and password to http://bnn.adtsoft.com/webview.html it will give me an error saying “Problem authenticating with the server or you are not authorized to perform this oepration”
but if i disable avast for 10 minutes then it allowes me to login, then i can re-ctivate avast and everything runs fine
is there a tool to use to figure out whats wrong with that website so i can notify the web site builders what they need to fix?
Send the webmaster of the site an e-mail and explain your situation, and ask why you are being blocked or cannot access their server(s).
Could be they restricted a complete IP-range there, because some-one there did something “out of line” or they block/restrict the avast shields user agent for some reason or other, as they see it as conflicting like with some scanning agents and the way they interfere there policy, recently saw a conflict in this line with AVG LinkScanner and webmasters complained…
These things happen, can be solved through a mail and you will stay “the best of friends”,
i couldnt disable 1 or the other to get it working, i have to disable it all and then it works
if anyone who is an expert wants a user name password to http://bnn.adtsoft.com/webview.xml i can provide you with one, but i want to make sure its someone that will know what to look for to find a resolution to the problem
if anyone knows what exactly i need to tell the developer, i will
polonus, FYI, no my IP isnt blocked because once i disable avast i can login fine
…just what I thought ;D … as to blockin Avast shield “user agent”, I don’t believe in that either. Avastsvc should reflect the browser’s user agent anyway…it’s just a proxy, and a transparent one.
so whats left for me to do now? are you saying that the issue is drectly related to the web developer that he is not allowing avast “user agent” ?
or is it an issue with avast?
