I think it was too much early to release AVAST 5.0377 when I see the number of posts and problems for this version.
It was better to wait 3 or 4 weeks. But maybe guys, you didn’t had the choice…
It would be useful, at least, to have a response from the developers on what they think is causing the BSODs (maybe the behaviour shield?)… so far, instead, we haven’t had any kind of response

Maybe, but a lot of people dont have any problems with avast 5 like i do …
no problem on my computer W 7 & also no problem on my notebook XP sp3
Yes, but maybe they are busy working on the next release? 
There is the new release of Avast. It would be nice to have a changelog and to know what has been fixed (or not) 
As much as I’m annoyed that my 5.0 isn’t perfect but many others are fine, I can understand that a much broader usage of a final released version occurs, compared to a narrower and dedicated band of beta testers, so some faults were yet to occur until we simpler users get in on the act. In my case I’m pretty sure it was the behavior shield at fault whilst streaming vids in IE8.
Not such a narrow and dedicated band of beta testers, the beta was open to many as as far as I remember 1 million beta downloads, whilst all you see is the element on the forums.
