I gots to know.
As avast 7 has only just been released you’ve got quite a while to wait :
This isn’t Chrome or Firefox and a new ‘major’ program release doesn’t happen every other month.
There is no date for avast8, there wasn’t a date for avast7 until two days before it was released, so you gots to be disappointed.
Avast 8 will come out about the same time Windows 9 does. They seem to always be a number behind. 
Seriously, who knows? They have to iron out the kinks in 7 still that some people are experiencing. Not me but some others.
Wut? I thought 9 was out next month? ??? 
Seriously though, roughest of estimates is…around a year. Just a guess. Unless they were to change the pace of the numbering.
Probably in the begininning of 2013 if we follow the yearly upgrade period.
