Mail provider has changed system settings and now requires SSL (TLS) to access email.
Logon denied when account is protected via Avast . No problem when unprotected.
Looks like I’m getting a different AV program. Any chance this will be addressed in future releases?

I must admit I don’t remember anything like that…
It is possible to configure stunnel (an SSL wrapper) such that it encrypts the connection between avats! e-mail scanner and the server, but I don’t think any changes are currently planned for avast! directly (but I may be wrong, of course).
next week?..it would be really great if avast gonna support ssl… ;D

But wait, is the original poster really right? I mean, from what he said I have the feeling that he thinks that avast! REQUIRES SSL (in contrary to NOT SUPPORTING SSL – which is the case)…
