It is Chrome only ? FF and IE are not affected ?

Run Chrome in the incognito mode, let me know if the alerts cease http://support.google.com/chrome/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=95464

in incognito mode… it doesnt give the alert error…

ff and IE are nto effected. Issue is only with chrome.

OK boring time now

Restart Chrome, disable all extensions. Re-enable them one at a time, checking for alerts in between.
As soon as they start again disable the last one you re-enabled and let me know which one it was

this seems to work.

when i disabled extension for “Extension YouTube 1.3.0” i get no alert message

OK could you delete that extension please, and I will now add it to my list ;D

How is the computer behaving otherwise ?

done

Computer performance is not degraded at all. I see no unexpected behavior.

Thanks for that I am now trying disabling that addon on another system

Subject to no further problems

I will remove my tools now and give some recommendations, but, I would like you to run for 24 hours or so and come back if you have any problems

Now the best part of the day ----- Your log now appears clean

A good workman always cleans up after himself so…The following will implement some cleanup procedures as well as reset System Restore points:

Run OTL
[*]Under the Custom Scans/Fixes box at the bottom, paste in the following

:Commands [resethosts] [emptytemp] [Reboot]

[*]Then click the Run Fix button at the top
[*]Let the program run unhindered, reboot the PC when it is done

Run OTL and hit the cleanup button. It will remove all the programmes we have used plus itself.

We will now confirm that your hidden files are set to that, as some of the tools I use will change that
[*]Click Start.
[*]Open My Computer.
[*]Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
[*]Select the View Tab.
[*]Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Do not show hidden files and folders.
[]Click Yes to confirm.
[
]Click OK.
