In previous versions of Avast, the user interface had a means to see the latest log entries, but I can’t find any such feature in the latest version of Avast. Since the pop up message which runs during a scan disappears once a scan has completed, I now have no way of affirmatively determining that a scan has actually run as scheduled. (Yes, I know the pop up message remains if any problem is encountered - I still would like to be able to check when a scan was run). Is the “log feature” still available, and, if so, how do I access it? Thanks for any help.
You can set a short cut directly in the main UI interface, there are some Plus signs, which can be changed to display something else. You can change that to view the Scan History, just click on the Plus sign or right click it. Now you get a drop down list, choose the scan history.
jfh, Thanks for asking the question.
DavidR, this should be a sticky or at Least part of the FAQ’s.
Not intuitive at all, and not currently located in the FAQ’s.
Sticky are topics are very strict otherwise you have to scroll down a large list to get to the other topics.
It isn’t that obscure, avastUI > Scan - at the bottom of the page there is a link to the Scan History. But I prefer to have the creation of the shortcut on the main (Home) page of the UI.
