That is Avast doing it's job

GMER was clean - to remove that and OTL, start OTL and hit the cleanup button this will remove itself and GMER apart from the zipped folder on your desktop - just delete that

Now both OTL and GMER are removed from my computer successfully and I have turned restore points back on. Will still be watching what happens with IE 8 viewing all sites in compatibility mode. I also will check about my add-ons. So I guess this ends this thread. Thanks for all the help.
