I’ve purchased an activation code for Avast!, but I can’t find the place to put it in? I only found this button that says ‘Insert Avast! Pro activation key’.
But I don’t have one to insert, I have one to TYPE.

As I said, I don’t have a license file.
I only have a code to put in. The box has gone away, now the only option is one I can’t use!
Where did you get the code from ? As Avast no longer use that method
I got it from Avast through email at the time when it was still supported. Is there some way I can exchange it for an activation file?
How old is this product license code, as the license period starts from the time of purchase (so could be out of date/invalid) ?
What version of avast Pro do you have, 7.0.1474 is the latest version ?
If you received it from avast by email then the resend license may (and I do mean may) work in sending the license as the required license file.
- Resend avast License http://www.avast.com/resend-license-paid.php, you will need to enter the email that you used when purchasing the license, e.g. the one that the original email with the link was sent.

And how do I check the version of Avast? Sorry I’m a noob D:
it should be visible when you open the program…
free / pro / internet security… version number. 4.8 / 5 / 6 / …or 7.0.1474 latest
Right click on the avast tray icon, select About avast!
If you no longer have your old email address account, then it wouldn’t be possible to use this automated system.
When did you get this license as all other options and suggestions are moot if the license is no longer current/valid/expired.
