Just monitor the forums, it will be notified here first and instructions will be given on how and where to download, etc.

i think no… you have to do it explicitly by downloading the installer. because of what i read(4.X version may continue for some months)
…ur avast won’t automatically update to 5.0 beta… beta is for testing… I think…
By the way, this might be off topic but, would anyone consider posting some screenshots of previous avast versions so I can see the GUI progression?
I can’t seem to find any avast 1.0 or avast 2.0…
maybe its too outdated… so that no one uses them… In some ten years maybe u’ll find no avast 5.0…
That means I should uninstall my avast 4.8 and reinstall avast 5.0?
But not now. It would be a lot safer to use the FINAL or RC of the software.
No one has any details of the avast firewall, but since this is an essential part of a firewall that is worth the name ‘firewall’ then it will.
As I replied to the same question you asked about another firewall.
The whole point of a firewall is to effectively stealth your system from outside, all good firewalls do that as a matter of course rather than as an option.
