Where is log file?

I would like to review the files that were blocked during a download. Where is the log file? The help file was no help.

avast! > Settings > Active Protection > Web Shield > Report file

Whilst Tech’s post will give you the opportunity to place the report file where you want, that won’t recover the past information.

You don’t say what your OS is as the file is in a different location for different OS:

  1. XP C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\AVAST Software\Avast\report\WebShield.txt
  2. Vista and later C:\ProgramData\AVAST Software\Avast\report\WebShield.txt.

I don’t know what it is you wish to review as the text file can be large and the detections well spread. Not to mention the amount of information is limited.

Indeed. So mjwallin should unhide avast! reports folder by changing option folder to show hidden files, folders, and drives.

Thanks for your suggestions, I found what I need.

Rather depends on if the user has changed the defaults, for me this is one that I immediately changed in win7.
