Where the heck is the virus chest?????

Avast 2016 build 11.1.2234, Win 10 x64, I am looking to where I can find the virus chest, as it isn’t where it used to be. What if it “catches” a false positive and puts it in the virus chest, is there any way to recover the file. If there isn’t I am going to look for another antivirus solution.

As the previous versions, you can go to Tools, statistics,component status, you will see the virus chest in the right top

Select Scan and you will see it on the bottom

No Virus Chest on mine.

Note: I intentionally removed the SafeZone Browser and also Passwords (managed already), so no Run SafeZone Browser in the tray icon right click menu. I don’t know if that has further ramifications or not, but there is also no Enable Off-line Mode, I presume that is only available for those with the avast firewall.

If I change from english to italian I also do not see it anymore
It’s definitely a sort of a GUI bug (don’t know if it’s only related on the IS beta I’m using)

I found it. It was hidden in virus scan item. Used to be right in front when performing virus scans. But the way they changed things is not for the better IMO just make it more difficult to find what you need. I wonder if this is coming to macs also.

It is actually the same number of levels/clicks away, you only have to click the Scan icon (which would be the Scan tab previously) on the UI main page and Scan for Viruses and then at the bottom of the page the Quarantine (Virus Chest).

I installed 2234 beta over the 2233 regular release and it wasn’t present. Now having installed 2235 beta2 over 2234 beta1 I have the virus chest short cut in the tray icon.

Seems like lots of inconsistencies.
